Bartlett man ticketed in fatal Geneva crash

A Bartlett man has been charged with failure to yield while turning left, causing a crash in Geneva in which a motorcyclist was killed.
Geneva police announced the citation Thursday afternoon, after finishing their investigation and consulting with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Kevin A. McElwain was northbound on Kirk Road, and tried to make a U-turn near Division Street around 5:55 p.m. Sunday. He turned into the path of a motorcycle being driven by Michael Tedesco, 50, of Bolingbrook. The motorcycle hit McElwain’s pickup truck. Angela M. Tedesco, 48, a passenger on the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at Delnor Hospital.
McElwain has a 9 a.m. June 19 court date at Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
