New village hall hours in effect in Roselle June 4

The hours that Village Hall in Roselle is open to the public will change starting June 4. Effective June 4, 2012, Village Hall will be open:

• Monday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

• Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

• Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Saturday CLOSED

• Sunday CLOSED

The increase in public use of the Village's drop box, auto-debit, and online bill pay options has resulted in a decrease in the number of patrons needing direct services at Village Hall. In response to the shift in demand, Village Hall will open 30 minutes earlier to better accommodate morning peak usage. In addition to remaining closed to the public on Wednesday afternoons, Village Hall will also be closed Thursday afternoons. Organizational efficiencies are expected to be realized, as Village Hall will continue to be staffed on the afternoons that it is closed. Additionally, Monday night and Saturday morning hours will be eliminated.

The shift in hours will result in cost-savings to the Village due to the decreased amount of time the Finance Department counter in the Village Hall lobby will be staffed. Starting June 4, Village Hall will be open to the public for 38 hours per week, compared with the 44 hours that it is currently open.

Many of the services that residents typically request at the Finance Department counter at Village Hall are available online. Metra parking permits, utility bills, and parking tickets can all be paid online at www.roselle.il.us/payment. Additional payment options include the green drop box located in the circle drive outside Village Hall at 31 S. Prospect St. and U.S. mail.
