Tragic barn fire led to great loss

It was grievous and disheartening to read about the deaths of several horses that perished in a traumatic and horrific barn fire in McHenry County. To make matters worse is the poignant reality that these types of barn fires seem to occur far too often.

Majestic horses are wondrous creatures and cherished companion animals. If human negligence or willful intent are ever the causes of barn fires that kill horses, the individuals responsible for the respective tragedies should be held accountable for their actions.
