Help us vote out failing lawmakers

Thank you for your informative article on the Illinois Pension Fund. You showed that in the year 2000, there was a deficit of $15.6 billion. In the year 2011, the deficit was $83.1 billion.

Now to follow up this article, as a good newspaper before the November elections for state representatives and senator, why not give us a list of how many of these people, Democrats or Republicans, have been in office for the last 10 years.

Because apparently they have no clue on how to solve the problem. This would enable the people of Illinois to vote them out of office, unless the Illinois voters are as dumb as the politicians they have been voting in office over the last 10 years.
