Detour coming on Schaumburg’s Walnut Lane

Schaumburg’s Walnut Lane culvert replacement project will begin Tuesday, May 1, creating a traffic detour for as much as 21 days.

The work will take place on Walnut, approximately 400 feet south of its intersection with Golf Road. The project includes the removal of three existing corrugated pipe arches, the construction of a double box culvert with cast in place headwalls and wing walls, curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement and pavement patching and restoration.

Detour signs will be installed for the road closure.
