Dist. 12 names new member

Daily Herald report

The Roselle Elementary District 12 school board voted unanimously this week to appoint Anthony Cruz to a vacant seat on the board.

The seat opened when Douglas Stokes resigned in July to move out of the district. Officials said they hoped to find a candidate with a strong financial background.

After interviewing three hopefuls in July, the board chose Cruz, who earned a master’s degree with an emphasis in finance from Northwestern University. He also spent 12 years in the investment banking field and is currently employed by William Blair & Co. in Chicago.
