Schaumburg fest celebrates another year of the arts

Since 1987, the Prairie Arts Festival has been a staple on the Northwest suburban festival schedule. The fine arts exhibition and sale is during Memorial Day Weekend on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center in Schaumburg.

This year, the festival is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 28-29. More than 150 painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, potters — artists of every sort — will display their work outdoors on the landscaped grounds.

Entertainment on three stages, a food court and children's art activities round out the event.

For more information, contact Roxane Benvenuti or call 847-923-3605.
