Celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with the Addison Park District

In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, the Addison Park District is giving away tree saplings the week of April 23 - 27 at both Community Rec. Center, 120 E. Oak Street, and Centennial Rec. Center, 1776 W. Centennial Place. The saplings are only 10 – 20 inches tall and will reach a height between 50- 80 feet when mature.

The Addison Park District encourages environmental stewardship with tree plantings for homeowners and within the parks. Tree plantings are a great way to celebrate a special event, recognize an organization or person or remember a loved one.

The Commemorative Tree Program of the Addison Park District is a perfect way to publicly honor a person or special occasion. A variety of ornamental, shade and evergreen trees are available to be planted in a park of your choice. Additionally, the recipient will be publicly recognized with a brass leaf placed on a plaque located at Community Recreation Center, 120 E. Oak Street. To begin the selection process or to inquire about a specific tree or park location, call the Addison Park District administration office at 630-833-0100.
