A candidate who walks the talk

"Who do you trust? Nobody" a recent article published in your paper represents the sad state of our political system. Ben Lowe is a candidate with very high standards we can trust. Ben Lowe is running for the U.S. House of Representatives as an independent Democrat in District 6.

He refuses to accept money from any PAC, union or corporation. As a result, Ben Lowe will represent the residents of the 6th district. Ben's competitor as the 6th District Representative, Peter Roskam has accepted thousands of dollars from such groups. Ben Lowe has also made a commitment to take a pay cut if elected, and to invest the resulting money in the interests of the district.

Ben Lowe understands that many of our problems are intertwined; the economy, environmental and immigration issues are all related. He has said that "We desperately need good jobs and the clean energy economy is our best option for putting people back to work." He understands the importance of investing in green jobs and renewable energy for economic recovery.

Ben Lowe plans to meet with business leaders, government officials and community members on a monthly basis to work on solutions to solving the problems in our district. Ben Lowe is a man of integrity. He walks the talk, unlike most politicians.

Lowe has said that he would rather lose the election than compromise his values. He is a shining light in this dark political climate. It's easy to sit back and complain. It's more important than ever to take responsibility and vote this election season. Every vote counts.
