Preschool teacher receives Heart of Buffalo Grove Award

Saint Mary School Buffalo Grove is thrilled to announce that Mrs. Susan Snell received the prestigious Heart of Buffalo Grove Award in the area of "Teach and Inspire".

The award was given at a special dinner and awards ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 10.

This award is sponsored by the Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and Buffalo Grove Bank and Trust.

The Heart of Buffalo Grove Award honors individuals and businesses for their dedication and service to the community.

Snell currently teaches the pre-kindergarten 4-year-olds at Saint Mary School in Buffalo Grove. She inspires her students to grow, wonder, discover and succeed on a daily basis. Her students start the year timid and shy and leave as confident learners, ready to face the challenges and opportunities of their world. Sell connects with parents and encourages them to help their child make the most of each learning experience. She has been inspiring students and fellow educators at Saint Mary School for 23 years.

Snell has three children — Tim (Tina), Molly (Tom Miller) and Carey (Dan Personette) and six grandchildren — Patrick, Kathryn, Karolyn, Maddie, Cate and Will.
