Fire sweeps Wood Dale auto repair shop
No injuries were reported in a two-alarm fire at a Wood Dale auto repair store that took firefighters from 12 departments four hours to extinguish.
Wood Dale firefighters said they responded at 8:54 p.m. Thursday to the shop on the 300 block of Irving Park Road.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined, but Assistant Chief Timothy Roucka said it appears to be accidental.
The fire caused substantial damage to the building, Roucka said, as well as four cars inside the structure and another four cars that were outside.
