GLMV's 'Battle of the Bands' Sunday at Austin's

Get ready to rock and roll!

The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the GLMV Dollars For Scholars College Scholarship Program, is sponsoring the 1st annual “Battle of the Bands.” The competition will take place Sunday, March 18, from 1 – 5 pm, at Austin's, 481 Peterson Road in Libertyville.

Six local high school bands from Libertyville, Mundelein & Vernon Hills High Schools will be competing for prizes, including the opportunity to perform as an opening act for a band playing at Austins, gift cards, and Vernon Hills Aquatic Park passes.

"We are very excited to hear these talented musicians perform," said GLMV Executive Director Alese Campbell.

1:00 - 1:20 - Penguin Flight School - LHS

1:40 - 2:00 - Shades of Grey - Mundelein

2:20 - 2:40 - Unoxidized - VHHS

3:00 - 3:20 - White Rice - Mundelein

3:40 - 4:00 - Chains Unbroken - VHHS

4:20 - 4:40 - Pearly Gates - LHS

4:45 Results/Announcement of prizes

Door Fee is $5 (includes pizza, bottled water & 1 vote ticket)Proceeds will go toward Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Foundation, which benefits students at Libertyville, Mundelein & Vernon Hills High School.
