Boy Scouts invite Fox River Grove village candidates to debate

Boy Scout Troop 166 will host a debate between candidates running for Fox River Grove village trustee at 7 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the village hall, 305 Illinois St. The debate is open to the public and a reception follows the event.

Currently, there are six candidates running for three trustee positions. The debate will be completely run by Scouts of Troop 166 and the questions will be composed and selected by the Scouts. This event will serve the community by allowing citizens to hear each candidate’s view and allow for interaction during the reception. This also allows the Scouts to become involved and participate in local issues, and learn about event organization/structure and leadership, as well as a reinforcement of good citizenship.
