Heavenly Chocolate Fest returns Saturday with local vendors selling delicacies
Submitted by Congregational Church of Algonquin
Local vendors will be on hand along with members of the congregation to sell their delicacies at the second annual Heavenly Chocolate Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Congregational Church of Algonquin, 109 Washington St.
Mary Miller from Sweet Treasures Confection Company in Algonquin will be demonstrating how to make chocolate-covered cherry mice. She also will bring one of her other specialties to the festival, chocolate-covered bacon strips which sold out quickly last year.
Another vendor will be Tricia Nicole Parker of Algonquin with her Butter Toffee Crunch. Each order is made by hand and packaged for all occasions.
The Cocoa Cabana, a handmade gourmet chocolate shop in West Dundee, also will be joining vendors selling their goodies in time for Easter. The Anderson’s Candy Company in Richmond will share the “History of Chocolate.”
Admission is free. Stop by the registration desk to enter to win prizes from the vendors. For details, visit algonquinucc.org.
