Bears sign safety Steltz to 2-year deal
The Bears moved to shore up their safety position Friday, re-signing unrestricted free agent Craig Steltz to a two-year contract.
Steltz has appeared in 48 games in four seasons (2008-11) since he was drafted in the fourth round by the Bears out of LSU. Last season was Steltz’s most productive with five starts and a career-best 48 tackles and forced 2 fumbles. He was also fourth on the team with 12 special teams tackles.
