Now is the time to end this war
As a Marine who survived my first tour with west pack ground forces — republic of Vietnam — I for one refuse to allow our country to be held hostage by some Third World punk over oil. Yet we, this country, have been stripped down by the most recent military approved budget. Therefore, we all need to step back and count to 10.
The recent speech by the Israeli prime minister was stirring and proof enough for many to realize that they are committed to war with Iran. We are not prepared when, in fact, we are flying our dead home from another war zone — where we are not wanted. Our wounded have been chopped in half by the IEDs. It is enough for anyone to see this sobering reminder of what takes place in war.
This is not a video game where you have plenty of extra players and can freeze frame it when you like. This generation of brave Americans who gave their best are now are wheelchair bound. Wake up America. The war needs to be brought to an end. Bring our kids home — now!
