Preckwinkle visits DuPage

DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin will play host to Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle during Cronin’s annual St. Paddy’s Day Dinner tonight in Oakbrook Terrace.

“I’ve long admired Toni’s independence and share her commitment to make local government more responsive to the people it is intended to serve,” Cronin said in a statement.

Preckwinkle’s appearance at the event will give attendees the opportunity to hear about her ongoing efforts to reform county government, Cronin said.

The dinner, which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Drury Lane Oak Brook in Oakbrook Terrace, is expected to be attended by many local candidates, including those seeking election to the Illinois legislature and DuPage County Board.
