Bartlett
Ÿ Bartlett Police conducted 86 extra hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target drunk drivers and seat belt violators during the St. Patrick’s Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign. Four motorists were charged with DUI and one with no valid driver’s license. Police issued citations for 29 seat belt violations, one child safety seat violation, 28 speeding violations, three uninsured motorist violations, and 64 citations for other traffic violations.
Ÿ Michael A. Fruel, 20, of the 400 block of Belmont Lane, Bartlett, was arrested around 3:20 a.m. March 18 at Route 59 and Apple Valley Drive and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and a traffic violation for no headlights when required. His court date is May 2.
Ÿ Burglars stole a camera, lens and money out of an unlocked car on Filly Lane around 3:30 p.m. March 18. Value was estimated at $1,610.
Ÿ Vandals scratched the time clock at Clare Oaks on Carillon around 9 p.m. March 18.
Hanover Park
Ÿ Israel Trejo, 18, of the 1900 block of Redwood, Hanover Park, and a juvenile were arrested around 6:05 p.m. March 22 on the 1900 block of Walnut and charged with theft/possession of stolen property.
Ÿ Javier Gutierrez-Zavala, 20, of the 400 block of Hendee, Elgin, was arrested around 5:15 p.m. March 20 at Astor and Briarwood and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Ÿ Swati Patel, 65, of the 1700 block of Robin Walk, Schaumburg, was arrested around 6:50 p.m. March 20 in a store at 7435 Barrington Road and charged with retail theft.
Ÿ Anthony N. Garcia, 29, of the 2500 block of Mark Thomas, Hanover Park, was arrested around 1:05 a.m. March 19 on the 2300 block of Glendale and charged with assault and criminal damage to property.
Ÿ Erin Pecina, 24, of the 1100 block of Sandpiper, Bartlett, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. March 18 at Irving Park and Longmeadow roads and charged with possession of marijuana and driving under the influence.
Ÿ Jose Rodriguez, 33, of the 400 block of Anne Street, Elgin, was arrested around 2:50 p.m. March 17 at Lake and Walnut streets and charged with possession of marijuana.
Ÿ Thieves stole a GPS unit and three gold and diamond rings out of a home on the 7400 block of Dahlia March 19.
Ÿ Thieves stole an outdoor air conditioner, its copper and a hot water tank from a vacant unit on the 1700 block of Howe March 19.
Hoffman Estates
Ÿ Thieves stole two prescription scripts and a watch between noon March 16 and 6:55 p.m. March 17 from a patient’s room at St. Alexius Medical Center, 1555 Barrington Road.
Schaumburg
Ÿ Tynisa A. Adams, 39, of the 3100 block of Edelweiss, Rockford, was arrested around 8:30 p.m. March 17 at Sephora in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took four cosmetic items. Her court date is April 13.
Ÿ Eukyung Park, 27, of the 1700 block of East Algonquin Road, Schaumburg, was arrested around 3:20 p.m. March 17 at Sephora in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took seven cosmetic items. Her court date is May 1.
Ÿ Patricia Ann Hamblin, 47, of the 200 block of Cedarcrest Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested around 12:10 p.m. March 16 at Kohl’s, 171 Barrington Road, and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took miscellaneous clothing. Her court date is April 6.
Ÿ Lindsey Marie Frost, 31, of the 2000 block of Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. March 13 at Sears in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took a video game. Her court date is April 27.
