Hawks send Shaw to Rockford, call up Hayes

After snapping a nine-game losing streak Thursday night, the Blackhawks have recalled forward Jimmy Hayes from Rockford and assigned forward Andrew Shaw to the Icehogs, their AHL affiliate.

Hayes, 22, recorded 4 goals, 7 points and 6 penalty minutes in 13 games with the Blackhawks this season during his National Hockey League debut.

Shaw, 20, tallied 5 goals, 9 points and 18 penalty minutes in 19 games with the Hawks during his NHL debut after being added to the active roster on Jan. 4. He registered his first NHL point with a goal in his first NHL game, while also adding his first fighting major, on Jan. 5 at Philadelphia.
