Social Security just a political program
I read with interest that the Senate is not quite as stupid as the members of the House of Representatives. Of course, they just haven’t caved in yet.
Most everyone agrees that Social Security is in big financial trouble. The House votes to cut income to the program as an incentive to workers. It hasn’t produced more jobs in the time it was in place since its inception, and it will not produce more jobs this year. It puts more money in the hands of all concerned except the fund for which it is destined. Other than a political ploy for getting votes, I have yet to hear of a real benefit of this program.
