Should Romney be taxed again?

Mary, Mary, Mary ... I can’t believe you said that out loud, asking the federal government to impose yet more taxes. (Mary Warren Fence Post letter, Feb. 16) Mr. Romney paid the taxes on his wages already.

Because he made enough money to make those investments you want him taxed again? How about going after all the businesses and individuals who do not pay their fair share? You might ask our government how many businesses are behind or have stopped paying in their portion of payroll taxes. This is money they take out of your paycheck and then not remit to the government, which affects directly your Medicare and Social Security.

I don’t mind paying my fair share, but let’s make it fair. So many other options than to tax me some more. Sadly it reminds me of the Beatles song, “Taxman.”
