It’s former prisoners’ turn to pay us back

About six months ago I interviewed an ex-con. Asking him what it was like being incarcerated? His response: Not so bad. Three hots and a cot. No rent to pay. No health insurance to pay. Not so bad.

It is time for the state to take action. Restitution for all inmates. Let’s start with our former governor, George Ryan. We paid his way when he was governor. We’ve been paying his way in prison. Enough.

Let him out so he can pay his own health insurance, rent and food. He can be made to pay restitution for what it cost the taxpayers while he was in prison.
