Relay for Life of Mt. Prospect/Prospect Heights Kickoff Celebtation
The Kickoff Celebration for the 2012 Relay for Life of Mt. Prospect/Prospect Heights will be held Tuesday, February 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the community rooms at Prospect High School, 801 W. Kensington Road, Mt. Prospect. Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society. This year's event will be held Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, in the Prospect High School stadium. From 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday, teams of individuals will walk laps around the Prospect track in celebration of those who have survived cancer and in memory of those who have lost their battle. There will be entertainment, concessions, a raffle, and several important ceremonies through the night. The Kickoff Celebration is a great chance to obtain more information about the event, register a team, meet the committee members, learn about becoming a volunteer, purchase luminarias, register as a cancer survivor, or learn more about donating items for our raffle or becoming an event sponsor. For more information contact Andy Fry at the ACS (847-368-1166 or andy.fry@cancer.org) or Dave Jacobson at Prospect High School (847-718-5230 or david.jacobson@d214.org).
