With the melting lake in the background, Amy Olson, a nanny from Hawthorn Woods, makes her way to the pre-kindergarten class at Henry J. Paulus Park in Lake Zurich. The red flag was out signifying melting ice on the lake from the mild temperatures, rendering the ice surface unsafe for recreation.
