Docents sought for Volo Bog:

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is seeking adult volunteers for Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside. Docents greet visitors, answer a variety of questions regarding Volo Bog and general nature, staff the Friends of Volo Bog’s Tamarack Shop and assist with interpretive projects in the Visitor Center. A minimum commitment of one year is desired. Training sessions provide the information and skills needed to develop a confident style. A variety of times and types of training begin Sunday, Feb. 5.
