Stevenson’s Irving tosses shutout

Scott Irving pitched a 5-hit shutout, and Adam Walton and Jon Savarise led the offensive attack, as Stevenson’s baseball team shut out visiting Antioch 7-0 in a North Suburban Conference crossover Friday.

Irving struck out six and walked four. Walton was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and 2 runs scored, while Savarise went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Zach Novoselsky also had a double for Stevenson (11-6).

Warren 3, Round Lake 2: The Panthers’ only hits came from Ryan Newman and Randy Eanos in their North Suburban crossover loss.

Round Lake pitcher Danny Trujillo allowed only 1 earned run in his 6 innings of work.
