Schaumburg offers Mayor’s Scholarship

Schaumburg Mayor Al Larson has announced the availability of the 19th annual Mayor’s Community Scholarship in cooperation with The Workforce Board of Northern Cook County. A President’s Committee will select the scholarship winners. Applicants must be residents of the village of Schaumburg; demonstrate financial need; be a first-time, continuing or returning student; have education or career goals; demonstrate the ability to successfully complete course work; and attend an approved Illinois educational institution. Candidates must complete the application, submit two references and photo ID including date of birth and social security number by 3 p.m. Friday, April 13. Materials should be sent to Office of the President/ 101 Schaumburg Court/ Schaumburg IL 60193. The recipient will be notified by April 27 and the scholarship is valid until June 15, 2013.
