Prospect High School to honor alumni who made ultimate sacrifice

Prospect High School will dedicate a memorial plaque this fall to alumni who have died while serving our country.

The ceremony, planned for around Veterans Day in November, will recognize the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for the U.S. The PHS Roll of Honor will be read during the ceremony. The NJROTC will provide a color guard and play taps, and the ceremony will be taped and shared with present students.

The school is asking anyone with information about alumni who died during a military engagement to contact Lee Stanley, assistant principal of student services at lee.stanley@d214.org; by mail to Prospect High School, 801 W. Kensington Road, Mount Prospect; or by fax to (847) 718-5223.

Also, any photos would be appreciated, as they will put together a video for the ceremony. The plaque will be placed in the main hall, and names will continue to be added over time.
