Modern dance company holds auditions

The Rodriguez Dance Theatre in partnership with the District 214 Community Education program is holding auditions for its upcoming 2010-2011 season from 10 a.m.-noon Sunday, May 16, at Elk Grove High School, 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd., room 178-179, in Elk Grove Village.

The Northwest suburban modern dance company is looking for professional, modern, male and female dancers that are passionate about dance and passionate about providing the community with an artistic experience. Dancers of ethnic background are highly encouraged to audition.

The program is looking for dancers 18 and over trained in both modern and ballet techniques. Rehearsals and technique classes are held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays; 6-9 p.m. Thursdays; and noon-3 p.m. Sundays. The company provides two modern and two ballet technique classes a week.
