Your news Fundraiser nets $8,000 for Palatine Park District programs and services

The Palatine Park Foundation held its “Casual Cocktail Fundraiser” Monday, Nov. 22, at Heng Wing, 121 W. Palatine Road in Palatine.

The evening consisted of a raffle and auction raising over $8,000 which helps fund items such as scholarships for youth affiliate sports, orchestrate the annual “Sprint On Wheels” which is a part of Palatine's Streetfest, provide supplies for the ICompete and Club Angelinos Dance programs and transportation for Northeast Palatine Summer Camp field trips and cultural arts opportunities at Cutting Hall.

The Palatine Park Foundation was formed in October of 1994, to assist the Palatine Park District in its continuing commitment to provide parks and recreation services to the community. For information on the park foundation contact Carl Arthur at carl.arthur@att.net.
