Dist. 214 parenting class is back

The winter session of the video discussion program, “Active Parenting of Teens,” will be offered to parents, 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays at John Hersey High School, from Jan. 18 to Feb. 22. Registration is limited to 100 parents.

The course will help parents talk to teens about family issues, as well as drugs, sexuality and violence. Discipline skills that protect and guide adolescents will be discussed. The fee is $20 per participant/family, payable on Jan. 18. Contact Paula Volpe at (847) 718-4947 or e-mail her at paula.volpe@d214.org. Martha Messer, the John Hersey High School nurse, and Bob Leece, Buffalo Grove High School student assistance program coordinator, will be co-leaders.
