Create a lasting memory to honor a loved one – legacy bricks available from River Corridor Foundation
The River Corridor Foundation has announced a unique holiday gift opportunity that creates lasting memories while enhancing the vital Fox River shorelines for the citizens of St. Charles and the surrounding communities. Families and individuals can purchase engraved bricks that will be placed in the brick walkway portion of the Bob Leonard Walk (on the western bank of the Fox River just south of the Illinois Street Bridge in downtown St. Charles.)
“What better way for someone to honor a grandchild, create a lasting memorial for a loved one or to just show your appreciation for the beautiful city that we live in than to have a permanent statement along our beautiful walkway,” stated Jennifer Biddle, President of the River Corridor Foundation. “It's fun to watch some of the families who have already ordered bricks visit the walkway and identify their contribution, while also enjoying this scenic location along the river.”
Individual bricks with three lines of lettering can be purchased for $100 through the River Corridor Foundation, a non-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. Gift certificates are also available with each brick purchase as an additional memento just in time for holiday gift giving. Engraved bricks are installed by the public works department of the City of St. Charles. Legacy brick orders can be fulfilled immediately by calling the River Corridor Foundation at (630) 418 – 5309.
