It is important to not focus solely on the current fiscal year, but also consider the communities needs 10 to 20 years from now.In tough economic times, many students (and working professionals) turn to a community college for its educational value. How do you ensure that a person's financial sacrifice equates into an educational benefit?MCC employs some of the best faculty in the area. Future contracts must keep the pay scale competitive, while working within the frame work of the difficult economic times.Is a tax rate increase needed and, if so, how do you justify it?No tax rate increase is needed. As a percent of MCC revenue the State level of funding continues to decrease. This trend must be reversed.Community colleges provide many services to a diverse population.
