Fox Valley’s Community Foundation offers scholarships

Submitted by Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley

The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley’s 2012 scholarship program offers scholarships to students who will attend an accredited institution of higher learning on a full-time basis during the 201213 academic year.

Eligibility is limited to residents of the Community Foundation’s service area, which includes the city of Aurora, Kendall County, and southern Kane County within Illinois. A map of the service area may be viewed online at www.communityfoundationfrv.org/servicearea.asp.

The majority of Community Foundation scholarships are based on academic ability and financial need. A few scholarships do not consider financial need and are based on academic ability or academic excellence.

Scholarship application forms are available through Jan. 15 and can be obtained online at www.communityfoundationfrv.org/scholarshipprogram.asp.

The deadline date for receipt of application materials is Sunday, Jan. 15. For details, contact the Community Foundation Scholarship Program Coordinator at sch@communityfoundationfrv.org or (630) 896-7800.
