Mount Prospect hands out holiday decorating awards

The Mount Prospect village board this week handed out its annual Holiday House Decorating Awards.

The grand prize winner was the home at 8 S. Busse Road. Other recipients and their categories were: 905 S. I Oka for best religious theme; 124 S. Lancaster for the simple but elegant award; the Randhurst Light Show for best business; 1710 Liberty for Christmas fantasy; 1909 Kiowa Lane for Gingerbread; 111 S. I Oka for Christmas Dreamland; and 1710 Laurel Lane for Hatfield & McCoys.

The winners were selected after a tour of the village’s Special Events Commission.
