Mundelein park district gets 17 acres

The Mundelein Park and Recreation District has acquired a new 17-acre site, officials announced Tuesday. The land is near West Shady Lane on the village’s south side. The site includes dense woodlands and wetlands. It could be used for playing fields and connect to nearby Clearbrook Park. A purchase price was not provided in a district news release.
