Former Blackhawks player Steve Dubinsky holds clinics
Youth hockey players got a chance to learn how to sharpen their skills from a former Chicago Blackhawks player this week at Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills.
Steve Dubinsky held hockey clinics Monday through Wednesday that were geared to players of all ages and skill levels from across the country.
The ice rink is also hosting the 7th Annual Shoot-Out Tournament through Dec. 1. The tournament features teams from the Chicago area and southern Wisconsin.
“Our annual Thanksgiving tournament brings together more than 65 teams and hundreds of individual players from the ages of 6 to 14 who love the great sport of hockey,” Glacier Ice Arena general manager Eric Schneider said. “We look forward to a fun six days of hockey and our competitive Ice Dogs club enjoying home games over the Thanksgiving holiday.”
