Motorcycle run to support abused and neglected children in Northwest suburbs

Shelter Inc. is a nonprofit child welfare agency providing emergency and longer-term housing for abused and neglected children and adolescents in the Northwest suburbs.

Shelter Inc. will host the Shelter-A-Child Motorcycle Run on Sunday, July 22. Riders will begin at City Limits Harley Davidson in Palatine meeting at 9:30 a.m. for registration.

The group will ride together through Northern Illinois before finishing back at City Limits Harley Davidson for a post-ride celebration at 1 p.m.

The cost to register for the ride is $20 for the rider and $15 for passengers.

Celebration-only tickets can be purchased for $15. The celebration will include food, beverages, music by the band Rock Boxx and prizes and raffles.

Participants are encouraged to collect pledges in support of the children receiving services from Shelter Inc.
