Prospect HS invites local kids to 'Haunted High'

Prospect High School's Student Council, with the help of clubs and sports teams, will sponsor Prospect High School's “not so scary["] Haunted High School 2010,["] a safe Halloween alternative event for young children, on Thursday, Oct. 28, from 4-6 p.m.

The event will be held at PHS, located at 801 W. Kensington Rd. in Mount Prospect, and is open to area kids, preschool/kindergarten through 5th grade. Participants should enter through the building's door #30.

Children should arrive in costume and be ready to collect candy and treats, play fun games, and join in such activities as the Monster Mash dance, face-painting, the pumpkin shot, temporary tattoos, Halloween storytelling, “boo["]sical chairs, and more.

Attendees must be accompanied by parents. Admission is free, but organizers encourage donations of canned food for the local food pantry. Call (847) 718-5200 during school hours for more information.
