Lake Zurich d. Waukegan: Lake Zurich rolled to the two-game sweep with a 25-10, 25-17 regional victory. Kyle MIller had a team-leading 4 kills for the Bears while Coulton Every was just behind with 3 kills. Every also had 2 blocks. Setter Jeremy Anderson had 9 assists for Lake Zurich, which moves to 17-16 on the season.

Fremd d. Lakes: Lakes started out strong but just couldn’t finish, losing a three-game regional decision to Fremd, 25-12, 21-25, 17-25. Matt Duff, Tyler Potesta and Chase Binkley had 7 kills apiece for Lakes. The Eagles also got 13 assists from setter Eric Metzalaar and 18 digs out of Sean Donovan.
