St. Theresa School enters Scarecrow Contest in downtown Palatine

Eighth-grade students from St. Theresa School in Palatine entered their scarecrows in the third annual "Scarecrows on Parade" in downtown Palatine. STS students chose the theme "Whole School" meaning teachers and students together. With the main scarecrow representing the teachers at St. Theresa, three additional scarecrows were created to represent the students; Preschool, Elementary and Middle School. Teaching at St. Theresa school means teaching to the whole person; mind, body and spirit. This philosophy is the backbone and true spirit of St. Theresa teachers.

The St. Theresa scarecrows will be "playing" downtown through Saturday, Nov. 6. Everyone is invited to stop by and see them at the downtown railwalk fence adjacent to the Firemen's Memorial on Brockway Street.

The scarecrow contest is a community decorating contest sponsored by the Palatine Home Depot through the village of Palatine and the Palatine Beautification Commission.
