Big money has nation in its grip

The election over, we are looking back in dismay at the hundreds of millions of dollars contributed by wealthy individuals and corporations — much of it anonymously — in order to elect politicians sympathetic to their self-serving agendas.

Now we can already see those same entities preparing to spend equally large sums to pressure those in office to advance those same agendas. Big money has this nation in its grip.
