Schaumburg A.M. Rotary welcomes new member

Karen Maczka-Bishop, club president, inducted Tim Gerhardt as its newest member at its Jan. 5 meeting.

Gerhardt is president and founder of Schaumburg based Allpoints Inc., a single source building services provider focusing on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and construction for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities.

Jim McKenzie, Schaumburg A.M. Rotary president-elect and president of Network Merchants Inc., located in Schaumburg, acted as Gerhardt's membership sponsor.

Rotarians are volunteers who work locally and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training and promote peace and understanding under the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” Rotary International, founded in Chicago in 1905 and headquartered in Evanston, consists of more than 33,000 clubs and 1.2 million volunteer members worldwide.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary, a multigenerational group of men and women, representing a cross section of the local business and professional community, meets weekly on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates.
