Island Lake woman investigated on drug charges

Jennifer M. Drecoll, of the 400 block of Honeysuckle Avenue in Island Lake, turned herself in to the authorities Saturday after a warrant on drug-related charges was issued for her arrest, Island Lake police said Sunday.

Island Lake police say Drecoll formerly worked at the Island Lake Veterinarian Clinic. Drecoll was wanted on a McHenry County warrant on four counts of possession of a controlled substance, Island Lake police said in a statement.

Police said Drecoll turned herself in under the advice of her attorney after being arrested on a $10,000 Lake County warrant, issued on behalf of the Island Lake Police Department a day before.

Island Lake Sgt. Garrett Schmoeller declined further comment.
