Strong leadership helping Streamwood

I want to thank Billie Roth for all the work she has done for the village of Streamwood in the past 21 years as village president. When Billie took the position as village president, Streamwood was just like Springfield. People were under indictment, the budget was upside down, infrastructure was falling apart and people were not very proud of where they came from. The village had a negative reputation.

Today, the village is a model of effective and efficient government. We have a surplus budget (unlike many surrounding towns), funds to replace equipment and facility repair all while having lower taxes than when she first started. Businesses and the tax base have been expanded over the years while property taxes have not increased. Police and fire personnel and equipment increased to provide better support to our community.

Billie Roth has proved that she can be an effective leader during times of crisis. Billie is not afraid of discussing tough issues or acting upon them. We need her expertise to help turn around Illinois. Now is the time for strong and accountable leadership.
