“SHARING OUR GIFTS” – M & M GOSPEL CONCERT AT BUMC

Come for the music and stay for the food and fellowship while helping the hungry at the exhilarating Multi-denominational and Multicultural (M&M) Community Choir Concert at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9 at Barrington United Methodist Church (BUMC), 98 Algonquin Road (at Route 59) in Barrington. Sponsored by the BUMC Missions Ministry Group, this second “Sharing our Gifts” concert features M & M's wonderful gospel, inspirational, and contemporary music. Directed by Carolyn E. Hollins, the 34 member choir has performed locally for eight years.

A free-will offering will benefit a Foods Resource Bank sponsored joint project with Trinity Lutheran Church, Ottawa, IL, Barrington United Methodist Church, and the U. S. Soil and Water Conservation Service. The project assists 4,600 households in the Micro Devru Region in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by:

•Providing high yielding disease resistant seed and plant stock

•Providing hand tools and implements

•Providing training in sustainable farming practices

Foods Resource Bank projects are “A Christian Response to World Hunger.”

Dinner and fellowship will follow the concert. Call the church office at 847-836-5540 or visit the church's web site at: www.BarringtonUMC.com.
