Elk Grove wins regional title

Elk Grove claimed a Class 3A boys soccer regional championship by topping Addison Trail 2-1 on Saturday.

The Grenadiers earned a spot in a 6:30 p.m. Wednesday sectional semifinal appearance at Conant against Conant regional champion Lake Park, which defeated Wheaton Warrenville South 3-0.

St. Charles East and Wheaton North meet in the other Conant sectional semifinal at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
