Affordable Care counselors join Good Shepherd

Judith Linarez and Alejandra Pastranos have joined Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital as in-person counselors (IPC) for the Affordable Care Act.

The positions were made possible by a grant from the McHenry County Department of Health. Both IPCs are fluent in Spanish and able to help patients and community members enroll in the marketplace and Medicaid expansion programs. They have four locations to meet with the community including Algonquin, Crystal Lake, McHenry and Barrington.
