Island Lake hosts Venetian Night

Island Lake will hold a Venetian Night boat parade at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the dam in the town’s namesake lake.

Eastway Park, located at Eastway and Ivy roads, is a good place to view the procession. A floating picnic will follow at Eastway Park.

The theme of this year’s event is “The Circus.” The Island Lake Chamber of Commerce will award a prize for the boat that best follows the theme.
