Prospect Heights Library hosts Ukraine War Exhibit/Program in August

The Prospect Heights Public Library will host a special traveling exhibit throughout the month of August entitled "Civil Society and Activists During Russia's Invasion of Ukraine." This exhibit features Ukrainian artist/writer Masha Vyshedska and her visuals created in response to the Russian war against Ukraine. This graphic novel format shows real citizens and activists resisting Russian aggression and helping others.

Along with the exhibit the library will be offering a program entitled "The Devastating Impact of Russia's War on Ukraine" with speaker Dr. Joel Ostrow, professor of Political Science at Benedictine University and who specializes in Russian politics, democracy and democratic institutions. This program will be held at the library on Thursday, August 10 at 7 p.m. Please register to reserve your seat for this program at www.phpl.info
